The Royal Ethiopian Trust supports Wonfel’s Amhara Emergency Fund and the Wonfel college scholarship program.

Wonfel  is a popular Amhara cultural practice that represents community participation with the goal of accomplishing a challenging task. Wonfel represents act of giving back to the community. The Ethiopian diaspora is equipped with knowledge, skills, work ethics and financial capability. Therefore, Wonfel would strive to mobilize and engage the Ethiopian diaspora to give back to its roots and support them in their fight against poverty.
